Chen Xi is a Chinese guitarist, born into a musical family in 1991. She started to learn classical guitar from guitar teacher Li Zhiwei in Zhiwei Guitar School from 5 years old. Since 2003, she continued studying classical guitar in Tianjin Conservatory Of Music Middle school and High school, and then Tianjin Conservatory Of Music, advised by Associate Professor He Qing.

She has won the first places in a number of famous domestic and international guitar competitions, including Thailand 7th International Guitar Festival and Singapore 3rd International Guitar Festival.

She is a talented and creative performer, adapting and creating many popular music works, which are spreading far and wide across the world. She also enjoys crossover, merging elements of Chinese folk instruments, such as Guzheng, Pipa, Erhu and others, into her own music. Her performance combines enthusiastic performance style and meticulous arrangement grounded in technical proficiency, earning her a strong following both at home and abroad.

She has been being active in classical guitar performing over the years. Except tens of performances every year in China, she has also been invited to France, Italy, Singapore, Korea, Thailand and other countries for classical guitar tours. In October 2017, she was invited by Confucius Institute in France to successfully make Chinese style music tours over four cities in France. Since December 2017, she has started classical guitar college tours of “traditional culture across colleges”. Dreams of Red Mansions, Journey to the West and others-themed classical guitar performances are extremely welcomed by college student music fans. More and more college students start to enjoy classical guitar and Chinese traditional culture because of Chen Xi’s excellent performance.
