Born in 1993, Ji Hyung Park picked up the classical guitar at the age of 9 under the tutelage of Do-Hyung Kim. In 2007 he won 1st prize at the Korean Guitar Association competition. From 2009 to 2013, he studied at the Korea National University of Arts.

After he obtained his bachelors degree in Korea, he decided to continue his studies in Paris.

In 2014, he was the first Korean guitarist to enter the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he obtained his masters degree as a student of Roland Dyens and his assistant Jean-Marc Zvellenreuther.

At this time he was also receiving regular guidance from his mentor Judicaël Perroy with whom he is currently studying at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Ji Hyung has won numerous prizes in international competitions including 1st prize at 8th Terra Siculorum in Odorheiu, Romania, 1st prize at the 6th Stefano Strata Citta di Pisa, 2nd prize at 14th Jose Thomas Villa de Petrer, Spain, 2nd prize and the youngest finalist prize of the year (Premio Aurora Blardone) at prestigious 50th Michele Pittaluga, Alessandria, Italy, and 1st prize at 7th Changsha International Guitar Competition which is one of the biggest guitar competitions in Asia.
