11th GCC ONLINE INTERNATIONAL GUITAR COMPETITION, 2022

The purpose of the GCC International Guitar Competition is to identify outstanding musical talent, and to provide them with performance opportunities. The jury consists of national and international musicians, scholars, and experts. The jury will seek to identify the most promising musical performers who demonstrate all around excellence in musicianship, technique and performing ability.

As in the year 2021, influenced by the covid-19 restrictions, this year’s competition will continue to be an online, pre-recorded video competition, open to competitors of any nationality. Competitors must participate in a group corresponding to their birth date. Instead of awarding first, second and third prizes, three players will be selected as Young Guitar Artists of Changsha 2022. They will each receive the same cash prize of 5,000 US dollars.
